Katie Frazier

Professional Flutist & Music Educator

Katie Frazier is a dedicated and passionate flute player and music teacher. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she distinguished herself with a double major in flute performance and music education. Katie's enthusiasm for music and teaching is evident in her dynamic approach to both performing and educating aspiring musicians. Katie’s primary teachers include Demarre McGill and Dr. Morrigan Kane.

 

Katie's journey as a musician began at a young age, and she has since developed a profound appreciation for the art of flute performance, teaching private lessons, and conducting large ensemble rehearsals. Her commitment to her craft is matched by her dedication to sharing her knowledge and inspiring the next generation of musicians. In 2024, Katie will be embarking on a new chapter in her musical career as she begins her master's degree in flute performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, further honing her skills and expanding her expertise. She will be studying with Jessica Sindell.

 

Katie strives to create an encouraging and stimulating environment for her students. She believes in the transformative power of music and is excited to continue her journey as both a performer and educator, fostering a lifelong love of music in her students.

 

Katie is available for weddings, funerals, parties, and other private or public events. She has extensive experience in chamber music, large ensembles, and solo performances. She is also available for private lessons with students of all ages and abilities via zoom or in-person located in the Cincinnati or Cleveland metropolitan areas.
